Michael is a patent attorney and Ph.D. chemist who brings over 20 combined years of experience in scientific research and intellectual property to Foley Hoag’s Intellectual Property Department. He works with clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and chemical industries on a wide range of intellectual property matters.

Michael assists clients in obtaining robust and enforceable patents in the U.S. and foreign countries. He prepares and prosecutes patent applications in various technical arts such as, for example, small molecules (including stereoisomers, isotopomers, prodrugs and polymorphs), monoclonal antibodies, molecular diagnostics, medical devices, polymers, chemical processes and synthetic methodology.
