Antoine Lerosier is an associate in Foley Hoag’s Paris office and a member of the International Litigation and Arbitration Practice. His practice encompasses State-to-State, investor-State and international commercial arbitration. Antoine has experience working on investment and commercial arbitration cases under ICC, ICSID and UNCITRAL rules, as well as on public international law matters. He also has experience in the energy, mining, oil and gas, and telecommunications sectors.

Representative Experience

  • Thomas Gosling and others v. Republic of Mauritius. Counsel to Mauritius in an ICSID arbitration under the Mauritius – UK bilateral investment treaty arising from alleged investments in real estate projects in Mauritius.
  • City State N.V., Praktyka Asset Management Company LLC, Crystal-Invest LLC and Prodiz LLC v. Ukraine. Counsel to Ukraine in this ICSID arbitration arising from the failure of a commercial bank in Ukraine and filed by four entities that claim Dutch nationality, relying on the Ukraine-Netherlands BIT.
  • Louis Dreyfus Armateurs SAS v. India. Counsel to India in a UNCITRAL Arbitration under the India – France bilateral investment treaty arising from a contract concerning the supply and operation of cargo handling equipment in the Indian State of West Bengal. In the final award, the Tribunal not only dismissed all claims, but also awarded India $7.2 million in costs.
  • Philippines v. China. Counsel to the Philippines in an arbitration pursuant to Annex VII of the United Nations Convention Law of the Sea regarding maritime jurisdiction.
  • Counsel to Venezuela in set aside proceedings before the Paris Court of Appeal and in confirmation and enforcement proceedings before the United States Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit relating to an ICSID Additional Facility award in the mining sector rendered in Paris under the Venezuela-Canada Bilateral Investment Treaty. 
  • Counsel to Djibouti in an international litigation proceeding before the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights involving human rights, sovereign immunity, and counter-terrorism issues.
  • Counsel to Madagascar in the adoption of a new regulatory framework related to oil exploration and production.
  • Counsel to a French company in an international litigation related to maritime infrastructure in Côte d’Ivoire.
  • Counsel to an Italian company against a natural gas provider in an ICC arbitration concerning a price revision in a long-term gas contract.
  • Counsel to a French company in an ICC arbitration, and in an ad hoc arbitration, concerning a transfer of technology in the civil and defense sectors.
  • Counsel to a French company in a domestic arbitration over waste management services contracts.
  • Counsel to a French company in a US IP Litigation involving extensive discovery.
