Zohar Nevo is a business attorney with substantial international experience. He focuses on mergers and acquisitions and venture capital finance transactions. He advises buy-side and sell-side clients in domestic as well as cross-border transactions where he represents both domestic clients to make cross-border acquisitions and investments as well as foreign companies making acquisitions in the United States. Zohar represents strategic buyers in a broad mix of industries including the life sciences and technology. He also represents emerging growth companies that are seeking financing and working towards an “exit.”
Zohar also counsels clients on their day-to-day legal needs. This includes providing corporate governance advice, attending Board and committee meetings, assisting companies with negotiating and drafting commercial agreements.
Before joining the firm, Zohar practiced in the corporate transactions department of a leading law firm in Israel. In this role, he represented local technology companies as well as foreign investors and acquirers from North America, Europe and Asia.
Zohar’s years of practice in Israel and work on international transactions provide him with a unique perspective on managing transactions across culture, jurisdictions and time zones.
Zohar holds a law degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (magna cum laude) where he also earned an MBA (magna cum laude). In Israel, Zohar served in an elite intelligence unit for the Israel Defense Forces. In his daily law practice, he draws upon his experience as an MBA and intelligence analyst to understand the business objectives of his clients and the marketplace in which they operate.
Zohar was the recipient of the Leonard Sainer Scholarship to attend the School of Laws at University College London Schools where he earned an LLM with distinction.
