Allen Thigpen focuses on complex civil litigation, corporate disputes, securities litigation, insurance recovery, and labor and employment disputes. He has represented clients in courts across the country, in private arbitrations, and before various federal and state regulators.
Allen is also passionate about pro bono work. Allen previously represented a class of asylum seekers detained in a federal correctional facility in Batavia, New York, helped an individual serving a life sentence for a non-violent drug crime seek a sentence reduction pursuant to the First Step Act, and worked on a whistleblower case filed to curb police corruption in a small town in Louisiana.
Before joining Foley Hoag, Allen clerked for the Honorable A. Joe Fish of the Northern District of Texas, in Dallas. Thereafter, he was an associate at another global law firm working on a wide variety of commercial disputes.
