Rajesh (Raj) Vallabh is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. He has over 20 years of experience as a registered U.S. patent attorney. With degrees in both electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, Raj’s practice involves patent prosecution and litigation in a wide range of technologies including computer software and hardware, electronics, robotics, automotive technology, industrial processes, e-commerce, financial services, social media, medical devices, and clean energy technologies.

Raj advises both U.S. and foreign clients on developing and implementing intellectual property strategies, including establishing invention disclosure programs and building robust patent portfolios. He has extensive experience in preparing both utility and design patent applications and representing clients at the U.S. Patent Office.
In addition, Raj performs risk assessment and design-around analysis for new products and renders opinions on patent infringement and validity. He also evaluates IP assets in connection with corporate transactions.
Prior to attending law school, Raj worked as an engineer at an electronic connector manufacturer.
Raj was formerly co-chair of the Patent Law Committee of the Boston Patent Law Association.
