I provide support in investor-State arbitration, public international litigation and international commercial arbitration cases.

Elaine Vargas’ role in the International Litigation & Arbitration Department involves supporting a team of litigators representing sovereign states (nation) in matters involving (nation-investor disputes) and international public law (maritime and land boundary disputes ). Such disputes are heard/tried by (ICSID, UNCITRAL, ICC) and Public International Law is heard/tried by (ICJ, ITLOS) UN organs. 

Whether leading a team of paralegals (SEJ v. Japan) or working as a secondary (PeruPetro hearing), Elaine’s focus is in supporting ILAD team members throughout every stage of the International Litigation and Arbitration process.
