Lucas Watkins is a partner in Foley Hoag’s Intellectual Property Department, resident in New York. His practice includes intellectual property counseling and litigation, especially involving technologies related to the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries. In his counseling work, Lucas advises clients on portfolio strategy, provides opinions, and prepares and prosecutes patent applications. He has litigated patent infringement and trade secret actions before U.S. district courts, international arbitration panels, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Lucas’ litigation and counseling practices have addressed various technology areas, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, catalysts, diagnostic PCR techniques, fire retardant treatments and nanoparticle dispersions.
