Overview
Foley Hoag’s Business and Commercial Litigation attorneys have a long history as nationally recognized trial lawyers, having tried cases successfully in courts across the country, as well as in domestic and international arbitral tribunals. Our litigators draw on a diverse interdisciplinary practice that allows us to attack complex commercial cases from all angles. In bet-the-company disputes, we seek to devise winning strategies that communicate complicated information in ways that can be easily digested by judges, juries, and arbitrators. While we seek to resolve cases before trial consistent with our clients’ goals, we understand that the best way to achieve favorable results at the bargaining table is to be prepared from day one to take a case to trial.
We have litigated and tried high-stakes cases involving a wide variety of commercial disputes, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. We represent clients in actions for breach of contract, business torts, corporate governance, partnership disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, business torts, post-merger or acquisition disputes, real estate matters, antitrust and unfair competition, employment and non-compete litigation, accountant liability, consumer fraud and false advertising, intellectual property theft, and international arbitration.
