Foley Hoag will be hosting a panel titled
“Arbitration across borders: recent developments in leading seats” as part of the 2025 edition of New York Arbitration Week. This panel will explore recent legislative, case law and arbitral institution-related developments shaping international arbitration across the leading seats, including the US, the UK, Singapore, and Latin America. These developments include the UK’s new Arbitration Act, SIAC’s updated rules, US arbitral institutions’ responses to artificial intelligence (AI) and evolving frameworks in Latin America. Additionally, through a comparative lens, the speakers will highlight how these changes may influence practice and procedure globally, offering insights into the future of international arbitration.
The panel is presented by the Very Young Arbitration Practitioners (VYAP) chapters of New York (NY VYAP), Singapore (SG VYAP) and the Dominican Republic (DO VYAP), in collaboration with Young ArbitralWomen Practitioners (YAWP).
