Foley Hoag Partner and Co-Chair of the International Trade & National Security Practice Luciano Racco was quoted in the article, "U.S. Forced Labor Crackdown Is Tough, But Opaque," which was published by The Wall Street Journal on February 16, 2023.
The article discusses how, in the U.S.'s increasingly aggressive crackdown on imports over concerns about Chinese forced labor, little detailed data on which companies or sectors are being targeted is known. Some companies importing goods only learn that their merchandise has been targeted when Customs detains a shipment stateside. "There was no advance notice at all," Lu noted.
