After State Settlement, Disabled People Stuck in Nursing Homes Hope to Find Homes of Their Own
June 05, 2024
Kristyn DeFilipp, Partner and Co-Chair of the Litigation Department and the Healthcare Litigation practice, was interview recently by GBH on the Marsters v. Healey settlement. Foley Hoag helped structure the agreement in a class action lawsuit that expands opportunities for individuals in nursing facilities to receive the services they need to live in their communities of choice.
DeFilipp was quoted as saying, “This case is really about dignity. It’s about autonomy, and it’s about equity for older adults and people living with mental illness.”
