Foley Hoag LLP partner and healthcare attorney Thomas Barker will be a featured speaker at the American Health Lawyers Association's (AHLA) Fundamentals of Health Law conference, November 12-14, 2014 in Chicago, Ill. This event offers attendees a better understanding of laws and regulations for the health law industry.
Barker's presentation, "Fundamentals of Medicare Parts C-D," will detail the history and structure of the Medicare Managed Care and Prescription Drug Plan benefit; offer a breakdown of Parts C and D coverage, reimbursement and appeals; identify current legal issues in Medicare Advantage and Part D, as well as Affordable Care Act Changes to Parts C and D; and provide references and resources for Parts C and D issues.
