Associate Tracy Roosevelt Elected Co-Chair of ASIL’s Women in International Law Interest Group

April 10, 2015

Tracy Roosevelt, an associate in Foley Hoag LLP’s Litigation Department, has been elected co-chair of the American Society of International Law’s (ASIL) Women in International Law Interest Group. Her election was announced at the group’s annual luncheon at ASIL’s 109th Conference, held on April 9 in Washington, D.C.

Roosevelt's diverse practice focuses on international litigation and arbitration and complex commercial disputes. In addition to representing private and public sector clients in federal and state court, she represents sovereign states in disputes in international tribunals and arbitrations, investor-state arbitrations and U.S. federal courts. Roosevelt also advises clients in corporate social responsibility, internal investigations and prosecutions and enforcement actions by state and federal authorities.

The Women in International Law Interest Group, also known as WILIG, was created to promote and enhance the careers of women in the field of international law. The group supports its members in the development of their careers and leadership skills in the area of international law, as well as promoting awareness of women’s issues in international legal initiatives. WILIG also sponsors a series of expert panels on a variety of international law topics throughout the year.

Roosevelt assumes this role following Foley Hoag partner Clara Brillembourg, who served as WILIG co-chair for the past three years.
