Partners Julia Huston and Neil Austin to participate in digital advertising discussion
Foley Hoag partners Julia Huston and Neil Austin will take part in #iLaw Technology Summit & Webcast: All Things Internet, Mobile and Social, a half-day conference presented by the Northeast Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Foley Hoag is a co-sponsor of the event, that will address the legal challenges faced in today's hyper-connected world, and provide best practices and policies that work for in-house counsel.
Huston, who chairs Foley Hoag's Trademark, Copyright & Unfair Competition Practice, will moderate "Communicating in the Web 2.0 World - Social Advertising, Trademark and Copyright Strategies You Will 'Like.'" This session will call attention to the developing body of law concerning digital advertising, with particular focus on best practices for native and social media advertising, and will highlight recent decisions of the Federal Trade Commission and National Advertising Division.
Austin will be part of an expert panel providing best practice tactics at this discussion. He will be joined by Alana Sharenow, Director of Legal Counsel of Dunkin' Brands, Inc. and Lesley Fair, Senior Attorney with the Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Consumer Protection.
