Foley Hoag LLP associate Kathleen Brill has been named a recipient of the Environmental Business Council of New England's (EBC) inaugural Ascending Leader Award. Brill and her fellow honorees were acknowledged at the EBC Annual Summer Garden Party on August 10 in Boston.
The EBC Ascending Leader Award recognizes young, rising professionals in the energy and environmental sectors who demonstrate exceptional leadership and industry involvement early in their careers. According to selection criteria, recipients are leaders within their respective companies, manage high profile projects and provide mentorship to peers, and are active in their communities both professionally and personally through leadership positions in business associations, non-profit organizations and civic groups.
At Foley Hoag, Brill helps the firm’s clients in the public, private, energy, institutional and development sectors acquire, protect and develop properties; secure local, state and federal permits; and address complex regulatory matters. She was recently recognized as a leading practitioner of environmental law by Chambers USA, the publisher of the leading international guide to lawyers.
The EBC is the first organization in the United States established to support and foster the development of the environmental industry. Its goal is to enhance business and job growth of both established and emerging environmental and energy businesses.
