Foley Hoag LLP partner Tafadzwa Pasipanodya will be a featured speaker at the fifth annual GAR Live Energy Disputes program on July 2, 2019, taking place at the Riverbank House in London.
Pasipanodya will participate in a session titled “Disputes in Developing Economies and Legal Frameworks: Examples from Africa.” She and fellow panelists will discuss Africa’s increasing integration into the international arbitration system and focus on the issues that arise when that system is used in developing economies and legal frameworks.
As a member of Foley Hoag’s International Litigation & Arbitration Department, Pasipanodya represents sovereign States in contentious and advisory matters concerning international law. Her practice is focused on advising States in investor-State arbitrations and State-to-State disputes concerning mineral resources, environmental harm, territorial and maritime claims, as well as human rights. She also serves as co-chair of Foley Hoag’s Africa Practice.
