Yale Law Women (YLW) has recognized Foley Hoag LLP as a top firm for Part-Time Options in its 2021 Top Firms for Gender Equity & Family Friendliness Report.
“We are honored to be recognized by Yale Law Women for our work to promote a more flexible and equitable workplace,” said Foley Hoag Co-Managing Partner Jeffrey Collins. “Foley Hoag strives to be a more inclusive firm. We also recognize that there is more work to be done within the legal industry on diversity, equity and inclusion. We continue to look for ways to improve our internal policies, including a new policy that allows our attorneys to bill unlimited amounts of time on DE&I initiatives toward their billable hours target."
Each year, YLW, a student organization of Yale Law School, produces the Top Firms report to raise awareness of inequities within the legal profession; highlight progress being made in the industry; and identify areas for improvement. The report is intended to serve as a tool for law firms, lawyers and future lawyers to build workplaces that are more equitable.
"Foley Hoag continues to address equity at all levels, especially for women who make up a strong portion of our workforce," said Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Rosa Nunez. "We want our women to feel supported to do their best work every day. As we make strides towards becoming a more equitable firm, creating flexible work options for our attorneys is one way to ensure that equity is a priority. We are very pleased to once again be included in Yale Law Women's 2021 Top Firms for Gender Equity & Family Friendliness Report."
YLW reviews and analyzes important family friendliness indicators by collecting data on a firm’s policies relating to professional development, gender equity, part-time and flex-time, parental/family leaves and accommodations, billing requirements and pro bono.
