Foley Hoag D.C. Office, Attorneys Recognized for Dedication to Pro Bono

The Foley Hoag LLP D.C. office and several of its attorneys were recently recognized for their dedication to pro bono work by the 2023 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll and by the D.C. Circuit Judicial Conference Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services 40@50. 

The 2023 Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll annual tribute recognized attorneys who provided services throughout the past year to D.C. residents who cannot afford counsel. Thirty Foley Hoag attorneys were named to the “High Honors” list for performing over 100 hours of pro bono work or “Honors” list for performing 50 or more.  
  • High Honors: Haider Andazola, Kian Azimpoor, Lee Chedister, Regina L. DeSantis, Bryant M. Godfrey, Diem Huong Ho, Juan Pablo Hugues, Sun Young Hwang, Rumbidzai Maweni, Iulia Padeanu Mellon, James Mongomery, Austin Ownbey, Tafadzwa Pasipanodya, Katherine Peiffer, Veronica Renzi, Gare Smith, Alexander Somodevilla, Arsalan Suleman, and Peter Tzeng. 
  • Honors: Thomas Barker, Patrick Brennan, Natalia Guillen, Ross Margulies, Sara Mattern, Tina Papagiannopoulos, and Diana Tsutieva. 
The D.C. Circuit Judicial Conference Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services recently honored law firms with offices in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for having an “exceptional record of pro bono work in 2023.” 

The 40@50 Judicial Pro Bono Recognition breakfast honors firms that had 40 percent of their attorneys perform a minimum of 50 hours of pro bono service in 2023.

The Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services manages pro bono initiatives within the D.C. Circuit. The Committee works with organizations in the D.C. Bar to meet the legal needs of local communities through programs and pro bono work.
