Gisela Paris and Tafadzwa Pasipanodya, partners in Foley Hoag’s International Litigation and Arbitration Department, have been named to Latinvex’s 2026 Top 100 Female Lawyers list, an annual ranking of the leading female attorneys at international law firms specializing in Latin America.
Now in its 14th edition, the list features the top 100 female attorneys from over 60 law firms based in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and France. Paris and Pasipanodya are among 39 female lawyers recognized as leaders in arbitration and litigation within the Latin America market.
For almost two decades, Pasipanodya has represented sovereign States and State-owned entities from all over the world in international arbitrations concerning hydrocarbons, mining, the environment, infrastructure, taxation, and health policy, including several Latin American States such as Chile, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Uruguay.
Paris has played a key role in growing the Latin American footprint of the practice. She has represented sovereign States, State-owned enterprises and corporate clients in international disputes for almost two decades, and has significant experience handling disputes related to foreign investment in industries such as hydrocarbons, mining, telecommunications, food, road infrastructure, waste management and sugar production, among others. Her sovereign clients include Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Peru, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.
