David Surry works with clients in the pharmaceutical chemical and biotechnology industries. He has practiced various aspects of patent law including prosecution, litigation, transactions and related regulatory matters and has worked with a diversity of clients including universities, startups, multi-national corporations and solo inventors at all stages of the patent life cycle.
Before beginning his legal career, David obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, and carried out postdoctoral research with Prof. Stephen Buchwald at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. David is a named author of 13 organic chemistry publications in peer-reviewed journals and maintains a passionate interest in science.
