Howie Weiss is a litigator whose practice focuses on complex civil litigation and government investigations, with significant experience representing clients in the education and healthcare spaces. He helps clients negotiate pre-lawsuit demands, resolve disputes through arbitration, and litigate before state and federal courts, both at the trial and appellate levels. In addition, Howie regularly advises higher education institutions regarding employment and civil rights issues, including compliance with Title VI, Title IX, and other civil rights laws.
Howie also maintains an active pro bono practice focusing on the defense of civil rights.
From 2023-2024, Howie served as a law clerk to the Honorable David A. Lowy and the Honorable Gabrielle R. Wolohojian at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. During law school, Howie served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Jennifer C. Boal of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He also served as a student attorney in his law school’s Civil Practice Clinic where he represented indigent clients in civil disputes.
