As a chemist, I leverage my technical expertise to help clients develop their patent portfolios.
Yaron Marciano is a Patent Agent with a Ph.D. in nanoscience and medicinal chemistry. His technical expertise spans peptide assemblies, drug delivery, and metal-based drugs.
Prior to joining Foley Hoag, Yaron earned his Ph.D. at the CUNY Graduate Center, under the co-supervision of Prof. Maria Contel and Prof. Rein Ulijn. His dissertation focused on the use of supramolecular peptide assemblies as delivery vehicles for hydrophobic anti-cancer agents.
Since joining Foley Hoag in 2023, Yaron has gained patent prosecution experience in domestic and international cases on behalf of a diverse set of clients. Yaron has worked on various technologies including:
novel small molecules
lipid nanoparticles
carbon capture technologies
novel materials
natural products
