Alison Bauer and William Gray, Jr. Join Foley Hoag

New Partners to Expand Firm’s Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights Practice in New York.

Noted restructuring attorneys Alison Bauer and William Gray, Jr. have joined Foley Hoag LLP as partners, resident in the New York office. Both attorneys will be working in the firm’s Litigation Department as members of the Bankruptcy & Creditors' Rights practice group.

Bauer and Gray were previously partners in the New York office of Torys.

Bauer’s practice focuses on U.S. and international business reorganizations, creditors’ rights, distressed acquisitions, and financing in the context of court proceedings and out-of-court restructurings. She regularly advises pension funds, private equity groups and other financial services institutions in distressed investments across a variety of industries.

Gray served as head of Torys' U.S. Restructuring Practice, which encompassed the representation of DIP lenders, asset-based lenders and providers of chapter 11 exit financing. He represents financial institutions, creditors, borrowers, acquirors and committees in complex restructurings, bankruptcy mergers and acquisitions, and major litigations.

Bauer received her Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, and her Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law. Gray received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and his Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law.
