New York is finally set to open its general application pool!
While the challenges of the rollout of the conditional adult-use retail dispensary (“CAURD”) licenses by the Office of Cannabis Management (“OCM”) are ongoing, OCM has publicly stated its intention to right the ship of the adult-use cannabis industry by opening its more general cannabis licensing rounds.
But what is next? What does general licensing look like? What is the timeline? Am I too early/too late? What do I need to apply? What are the priorities in evaluation and license issuance? What are the ownership and corporate structuring rules?
Join Foley Hoag’s cannabis team, including Michael McQueeny, Erica Rice and Jeffrey Schultz, who have assisted and worked with every class of medical and adult-use license issued by the State of New York to date, on a live Q&A session discussing the anticipated framework and timeline of licensing following OCM’s September 12, 2023 public meeting.
After a slow start, New York is ready to take off!
