AI and the Arts

Erik Huestis, Intellectual Property Partner and Co-Chair of the Technology Industry Group, will join the virtual panel discussion “AI and the Arts,” hosted by Towson University on March 28. The panel will also feature visual artist Mark Burchick and trumpet professor Luis Engelke. Panelists will discuss the importance of AI in their work as well as the challenges and opportunities it presents, including information on how research universities can respond to legal concerns around AI in the arts, techniques for incorporating AI-generated sounds and images in art, and a discussion of the ethics of AI in “imagined reality” art.
