Foley Hoag LLP recently represented Jibo, Inc. in its $25.3 million Series A financing, which will be used to expand its workforce, invest in technology and begin the manufacturing of Jibo, the "World's First Family Robot."
Jibo was founded by robotics pioneer Cynthia Breazeal, and is led by CEO Steven Chambers, a former Nuance Communications executive. The company is based in Boston, MA.
Funds for the financing were supplied by RRE Ventures, CRV, Flybridge Capital, Fairhaven Capital, Two Sigma Ventures, Osage University Partners, Samsung Ventures, Formation 8 and several angel investors.
Foley Hoag attorneys David Pierson, Erica Rice and Adrienne Ellman advised Jibo on the transaction.
