Litigator Philippe Rousseau Joins Foley Hoag as Partner in Paris

Arrival with Associate Will Expand Firm’s Commercial Litigation Depth in France

Leading commercial litigation attorney Philippe Rousseau has joined Foley Hoag as Partner in its Litigation Department and Business Disputes practice. He is resident in the Paris office.

A member of the Paris bar, Rousseau is experienced in all phases of commercial disputes, from contract negotiation to terminating established commercial relations. He also provides resolution advice and solutions, assisting companies in handling liability guarantees, shareholder conflicts, and pricing disputes. Rousseau has handled cases involving director and officer liability; international litigation and dispute resolution; trademark and copyright infringement; and IP licensing.

Prior to joining Foley Hoag, Rousseau was a partner in the Paris office of Gowling. He received his Competition Law and Distribution Law degree and DJCE (Diploma of Corporate Counsel), both from Université de Rennes I.

Rousseau will be joined by associate Agathe Jouin, also from Gowling.  Jouin advises clients in contract negotiations, termination of established commercial relations, due diligence, product packaging, and labelling compliance.
