Tech Transactions Attorney Brooke Fritz Joins Foley Hoag in Denver

October 21, 2025

Foley Hoag is pleased to announce that Brooke Fritz has joined the firm as a partner in its Denver office.

Fritz draws on two decades of experience advising multinational public companies and venture capital–backed start-ups in the IT, telecommunications, services, healthcare, and business process outsourcing sectors.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Brooke to our expanding Denver office,” said Office Partner-in-Charge Rose Standifer. “Brooke’s experience and understanding of the tech sector from the perspective of both outside counsel and in-house attorney will be an asset to our clients.”

Fritz received a B.A. and M.A. from Northwestern University, and her J.D. from New York University School of Law. In addition to her private practice experience, she also has held roles in-house – as counsel for IBM’s Global Technology Services division, where she specialized in telecommunications transactions and strategic outsourcing, and as senior counsel and vice president in the Technology Law Group at American Express.

“I’m excited to join Foley Hoag’s Denver office and grow the firm’s offerings to tech clients both regionally and nationally,” said Fritz. “Foley Hoag’s reputation and its commitment to innovation and client service align with my approach to helping companies with complex transactions and unlocking the value of their technology and intellectual property.”

Fritz’s arrival at Foley Hoag follows that of life sciences patent attorney Matthew Jonsen, who joined the Denver office in September. The firm recently expanded its footprint in Denver, opening a new office in the LoDo Towers last month. The office’s key practices reflect the growing sectors in the region, including technology, clean energy, healthcare, life sciences, labor and employment, and cannabis.
