Foley Hoag announced that Jay Reilly has been named co-chair of the firm's Licensing & Strategic Transactions Practice, joining fellow co-chairs John Harre and Sumi Sedor. In this role, Reilly will help lead the continued growth and strategic direction of the practice, which advises clients across the life sciences, technology, energy and climate, and cannabis industries on their most important business and commercial transactions.

Reilly is a seasoned transactional and corporate advisor who represents biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostic, and digital health companies, as well as universities and nonprofit organizations, in complex strategic transactions, licensing and collaboration agreements. Drawing on his experience as general counsel of a publicly traded company, he brings a practical business perspective to negotiations, helping clients manage risk, align interests, and achieve their strategic objectives efficiently.
