Foley Hoag Managing Partner Hathaway Russell has been named to World Intellectual Property Review's (WIPR) 2026 Influential Women in IP list, marking her second consecutive year receiving the recognition.
In her profile, WIPR highlighted Hathaway’s dual role as a firm leader and accomplished intellectual property lawyer. As managing partner, she oversees Foley Hoag's strategic direction, client service, culture, and long-term growth, while maintaining a practice focused on patent strategy and counseling for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and other life sciences organizations.
Hathaway advises clients on complex patent portfolio matters, including global strategy, freedom-to-operate analyses, due diligence, and the investigation and resolution of inventorship disputes. She has represented major pharmaceutical companies and leading research institutions, with significant experience managing high-value pharmaceutical and biotechnology patent portfolios that protect HUMIRA®, IMBRUVICA®, SKYRIZI®, VENCLEXTA®, QULIPTA®, UBRELVY®, VIBERZI®, VYALEV®, and other therapeutics.
