I am experienced regulatory attorney specializing in cannabis, environmental, energy and transportation and infrastructure matters.
Steve Bartlett counsels both public and private clients operating in heavily regulated industries on energy and environmental disputes, real estate, transportation and infrastructure projects and state and federal regulatory compliance issues.
Steve also has extensive experience advising medical and adult use cannabis companies on complex state licensing questions and related regulatory compliance and enforcement matters.
Steve is a regular contributor to several of Foley Hoag’s blogs including Cannabis and the Law. Steve is also an active member of the firm’s pro bono program and has represented dozens of domestic violence survivors in obtaining orders of protection against their abusers.

Represented the New England Power Generators Association in challenging the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection’s promulgation of the greenhouse gas emissions rules for electricity generators operating in the Commonwealth
Represented a coalition of electricity generators in opposing Central Maine Power’s application to the Maine Public Utilities Commission for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for the New England Clean Energy Connect transmission line
Represented Entegris (Nasdaq: ENTG), a leader in specialty chemicals and advanced materials solutions for the microelectronics industry, in its acquisition of Global Measurement Technologies for $36 million
Represented Entegris (Nasdaq: ENTG), a leader in specialty chemicals and advanced materials solutions for the microelectronics industry, in its acquisition of Sinmat for $75 million
Represented Entegris, Inc. in the acquisition of MPD Chemicals for approximately $165 million
