Technology and Entrepreneurship features news, events calendar, videos from TEC@FoleyHoag meet-ups, ‘Insights’ blog and firm’s Venture Perspective reports

Foley Hoag LLP today unveiled a new microsite that provides Boston’s innovation community with a definitive source of local technology and entrepreneurship events, listings and news of interest.

Technology and Entrepreneurship is online at It was designed for technology entrepreneurs in fields from software to clean energy; investors looking for new opportunities; and professionals who support tech companies from early stage through exit.

The site features an event calendar; an “Insights” blog with views on technology industry issues; highlights from Foley Hoag’s “Venture Perspectives” reports on tech investment trends in New England; and a live news feed. It will also include video from TEC@FoleyHoag, the firm’s Innovation District entrepreneurs’ meet-up. This month’s videos feature recent presentations by author, entrepreneur and investor Peter Shankman, and tech industry expert and Boston Globe columnist Scott Kirsner.

Foley Hoag plans to expand the site with additional features over the coming weeks, including an “Ask the Start-Up Lawyer” where entrepreneurs can submit general questions for Foley Hoag lawyers who work with early-stage companies.

“We wanted to provide the kind of general-interest site that a community needs to bring together its different elements,” said Gil Arie, Foley Hoag partner and co-chair of the firm’s Technology Practice. “Like our TEC@Foley Hoag events, it’s a contribution to building a social fabric where people can make the connections and find the information they need to succeed.”
