Foley Hoag LLP recently represented Cryoocyte, a reproductive technology platform for high-precision fish farming, in its $4 million Series A financing led by Aqua-Spark and existing investor Vodia Ventures. The company will use the funds to scale-up operations.
Cryoocyte offers a reproductive solution based on its technology for low temperature preservation of fish eggs that allows breeders and farmers to suspend reproductive process, generating previously unavailable data and allowing for precise mating decisions. The company mainly focuses on aquaculture in Norway, and has also done work in Chile and the United States.
Foley Hoag attorneys Mark Haddad and Jonathan Romiti advised Cryoocyte in the transaction.
