Life Sciences Attorney John Harre Joins Foley Hoag as Partner

John Harre has joined Foley Hoag LLP as a partner in the Business Department concentrating his practice on the life sciences. He is resident in the firm’s Boston office.

Harre advises clients on business matters involving intellectual property issues, including mergers and acquisitions, investments and litigation, and assists them in the negotiation of licensing agreements and strategic collaborations.

Prior to joining Foley Hoag, Harre was special counsel in the Boston office of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo where he concentrated on complex transactional matters for life sciences companies. He previously served as the global head and vice president of intellectual property and as general counsel and head of business development for a Boston-based biopharmaceutical company and a Cambridge-based biopharmaceutical company, respectively.

Harre earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Missouri; a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from the University of Tennessee; and a Juris Doctorate from UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law.
