Foley Hoag LLP has been ranked by India Business Law Journal in its 2022 survey of the best foreign law firms for India work. Foley Hoag ranked in the “Significant Players” category, making this the firm’s 12th year of inclusion in the publication.
India Business Law Journal noted "Foley Hoag is a dependable adviser to many companies with an Indian interest as it handles everything from emerging company and venture capital work to employment matters, immigration issues, M&A, and human rights."
The journal highlighted Foley Hoag for its work with Apollo Hospitals on the applicability of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and other U.S. federal and state data privacy laws. The firm was also identified as having advised Vasta Global in the USD80 million sale of all of its equity to OMH HealthEdge Holdings.
In addition, the publication called attention to Foley Hoag advising private equity fund Premji Invest on several investments in capital markets and purchases of minority stakes in startups, including: a USD135 million series C-2 financing of Unite Us, developer of a care co-ordination and outcome tracking platform to connect users with social service providers; the USD1.15 billion series D financing of healthcare plan provider Devoted Health; and a USD150 million series C financing of SonderMind, the developer of a mental and behavioral health platform.
