Foley Hoag LLP partners Allison Anderson and Hathaway Russell will be recognized by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly at its 2023 Top Women of Law event, held on Nov 01, 2023. These recognitions mark the first time two Foley Hoag partners will be recognized in the same year.
Allison represents businesses before the National Labor Relations Board and in labor arbitrations and collective bargaining involving unions. She has extensive experience litigating non-compete and theft of trade secret cases and defending clients in single-plaintiff and class action wage and hour lawsuits. As co-chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment group, her practice spans a wide range of industries, including life sciences, energy, cannabis, retail, hospitality and financial services.
Outside of her practice, Allison is active in pro bono, representing sexual assault survivors, providing legal counsel targeted to women business leaders, and providing employment advice to nonprofit organizations.
Hathaway is a member of Foley Hoag’s Executive Committee and has over 22 years of experience providing strategic patent counseling to pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology companies, early-stage life science companies, and academic institutions. Her practice develops and implements effective intellectual property strategies to build strong global patent portfolios that protect and facilitate the commercialization of novel, transformative biopharmaceuticals.
Hathaway has a strong track record of supporting women’s career development, through Foley Hoag’s Hiring Committee and Women’s Mentoring Groups, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s Women in IP Committee.
Each year, Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly’s Top Women of Law event celebrates women in the legal industry who are leaders in the profession, making an impact through their legal work, community service, pro bono work and mentoring.
