Scott advises founders and management teams on entity formation, venture capital financings, corporate governance, commercial agreements, and day-to-day operational legal matters. He also represents investors, venture capital funds, and family offices in connection with fund-related matters and portfolio company investments. He has managed hundreds of financings, from early-stage angel rounds to late-stage-pre-exit preferred stock financings.
Scott also holds an active pro bono practice, serving as a pro bono supervising attorney for the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic at the University of Colorado and also regularly mentors founders at tech-oriented accelerators.
Scott holds an LL.M in Taxation from New York University School of Law, a J.D. cum laude from American University Colloege of Law, and an M.B.A. in International Business from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management.
